iPhone & iPad, step by step

  • Open getjob.sbs in Safari (the Share sheet option is not in Chrome on iOS).
  • Tap the Share button — the square with the up-arrow, bottom centre.
  • Scroll the sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen”, then Add.
  • The GetJob icon appears on your home screen and opens without Safari's chrome.

Android, step by step

  • Open the site in Chrome and press the Install app button above when it appears.
  • No button? Tap the ⋮ menu → “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.
  • Firefox and Samsung Internet offer the same entry in their menus.

What the installed app is — honestly

  • Same product, app-shaped. One account across web and app; nothing to migrate.
  • Updates itself. There is no store build to update — the app is the site, so it is never a version behind.
  • Light. About a megabyte of icon and manifest, not an 80 MB binary.
  • Needs network for jobs. Listings and mail are live data; only the app shell and assets are cached, so opens feel quick.
  • Desktop too. Chrome and Edge show an install icon at the right of the address bar — handy for the admin fleet console.
