Hiring an Accounting / Payroll / HR Specialist in Norfolk, VA, paying $75K–$95K with free healthcare for your family at an employee-owned company. This is a hands-on role combining Payroll, Human Resources and Accounts Payable responsibilities, ideal for someone with 5–10 years of accounting/office experience who is comfortable managing multiple areas of the business. Key responsibilities: Payroll — weekly payroll processing, time verification, direct deposits, tax and benefit deposits, payroll reconciliations, federal/state reporting. Human Resources — employee files, onboarding/offboarding, benefits enrollment, 401(k), FSA/DCA administration and benefit-provider relationships. Accounts Payable — invoice processing, subcontractor invoices and retainage, job costing, budgets, lien waivers, certified payroll, credit cards and job-costing transactions. Preferred experience: payroll and AP experience; Sage 300 CRE payroll, AP and job costing; Procore job financial management; government-contract accounting experience. What we are looking for: 5–10 years of relevant experience; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and organizational abilities; high level of accuracy and confidentiality; Microsoft Office proficiency.
