Assistant Accountant – Remote | Tax Expert. Tax Expert is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing team remotely. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who wants to develop their skills while supporting day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate accounting and financial records. Assist with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting activities. Process invoices, receipts, payments and expenses. Perform bank and account reconciliations. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures. Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting schedules. Assist with tax-related accounting and documentation. Work with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms. Ensure financial information is accurate, organized and up to date. Communicate effectively with clients and team members when required. Requirements: Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role. Good understanding of basic accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software is an advantage. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
