CV Resources is partnering with a growing advisory firm to find a Real Estate Tax Accountant for its specialized real estate tax team. Real estate is the firm fastest-growing advisory practice, and this role is built for someone who wants deep expertise, not general compliance work. Why you will love it: No billable hours. Bonuses tied to projects and firm performance. Lighter summer schedule (about 30–32 hours a week). A clear path into review, advisory, and leadership. What you will do: Prepare complex Schedule E and Form 8825 reporting, plus partnership and real estate entity returns. Support cost segregation studies and depreciation planning. Prepare Forms 3115 and calculate Section 481(a) adjustments. Identify REPS, material participation, and passive activity planning opportunities. Advise real estate investor clients on STR strategies, 1031 exchanges, and more. What you will bring: 2–3+ years of public accounting tax experience. Hands-on real estate tax experience, including cost segregation, Form 3115, REPS, and material participation. CPA or EA preferred (candidates pursuing licensure will be considered). Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in real estate investing.
