We are Hiring a Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper. Work Setup: 100% Remote. Employment Type: Full-Time. Salary: Competitive. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of Canadian based clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end and quarterly close, financial reporting, and assisting with Canadian tax preparation under partner review. Key Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple Canadian small business clients. Handle Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), General Ledger (GL), bank feeds, and credit card feeds. Perform monthly and quarterly closing procedures. Prepare bank and account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting journal entries. Prepare management reports and draft financial statements. Prepare year-end working papers and supporting documentation. Assist in preparing Canadian T1, T2, and GST/HST filings under partner review. Respond to routine tax authority correspondence and prepare required supporting documents. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for assigned clients. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 5+ years of progressive full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end close experience. Experience supporting North American, UK, or Australian clients is highly preferred. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Xero. Familiarity with other accounting/bookkeeping tools is an advantage. Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, Plooto, or Zapier is a strong asset.
